You get perks like faster gathering rate in alliance territory up to 25%, get more help from your alliance members to upgrade buildings, and even increased researching speed on advanced technology. Best of all, you do get rewards for making contributions to your alliance, which you get individual credits that you can spend in the Alliance Shop.

Also, having an alliance who controls a lot of holy sites around the zones in your kingdom is useful. Because these holy sites give you bonus buffs that benefit in the long run. Make sure to stay in an alliance with multiple holy sites to maximize your bonus.

Don’t Waste Your Troops

One of the most common and early game mistakes I see in Rise of Kingdoms is that some players decided it is a good idea to attack another player’s city. This doesn’t work because the game is very different from others. In Rise of Kingdoms, the defenders have advantage and attackers are at disadvantage due to the fact that their troops get killed during battle against an enemy city.

This is an easy way to lose your troops permanently and drops your total power. So, don’t bother wasting your troops attacking enemy cities for resources. Because in the end, you will have to replace troops and spend more time training armies all over again. If you need to rake up kills, it is better to kill enemy players who are gathering resources.

Some players also get too cocky and attack high level barbarians. But it doesn’t always turn out well in the end. It is better to stick to what you can handle comfortably with maximum efficiency, speed and good experience gained to level up quickly.

Upgrade Your Buildings Efficiently

Another major component to Rise of Kingdoms is that you need to upgrade your buildings efficiently. Don’t let your buildings sit there with empty builder queues. Always keep upgrading your buildings and make sure you have the second builder unlocked. You can get it for free if you complete the objective before the timer expires.

Make sure you have a farming account to help out with gathering resources and send it over to your city.
