His conquest of Judah is described in the Books of Kings, Books of Chronicles and Book of Jeremiah. After the fall of Neo-Assyrian Empire, Babylon one of the largest capital during his reign became an archaeological site in the Middle East.
Nebuchadnezzar was identified in the Bible as the king who is responsible for destroying Solomon’s Temple and initiating the Babylonian captivity. He is also a very important character in the Book of Daniel.
